First National Conference in Red Squirrel Conservation

British Red Squirrel and Cornwall Red Squirrel Project would like to invite you to the
First National Conference in Red Squirrel Conservation – ‘National and International Perspectives on Red Squirrel Conservation’
Please circulate this email with the attached flyer to all who may be interested in attending this event. Any enquiries please contact [email protected].

When did you last see a red squirrel? Learn the history of the red squirrel in the UK, current projects helping sustain and reintroduce populations in the wild, and how you can get involved.

Are there red squirrels near you? Find out about squirrel projects near you and get up to date with how red squirrel conservation is progressing in other areas of the UK.

Looking for more information on squirrel pox? View presentations on  recent veterinary advances on the squirrel pox vaccine and IMC in grey squirrels.

Do you want to know the challenges the red squirrel faces in Europe? Speakers from Italy and Ireland comment on their experiences and share expertise on red squirrel conservation and grey squirrel control.

Can we ensure the long term survival of the red squirrel in the UK?  This event will be bringing red squirrel groups, wildlife conservationists, landowners, researchers, sponsors and volunteers together to make this possible.

In April 2013 the first national red squirrel conference will be taking place to discuss these topics, hear from those on the front line of red squirrel conservation, and learn from everyone involved in restoring this native species to all parts of the UK.
