SEWAF Meeting coming up!

A message from Lyn and the team at SEWAF (The South East Woodland Archaeology Forum) regarding the next meeitng coming up shortly.

The next SEWAF meeting is at Shorne Woods Country Park on Wednesday 27th June from 2pm.  Damian Goodburn, one of the country’s leading experts in ancient woodworking skills, will talk to us and demonstrate ways in which wood was shaped, using techniques and tools from the Bronze Age (4000 years ago) onwards.

We will have coffee/tea – and plenty of cake as always.

No charge for the meeting, but a small donation to cover expenses would be much appreciated.

We will be in the wooden-fenced compound in the car park – SEWAF signs will point the way.

The Park has a good café if you’d like lunch before the meeting.

Car parking at the Park is £2.50.

The Park is off the A2 between Gravesend and Rochester – brown signs point the way.
