Small Woodland Owners' Group

Saying hello..

Local group stuff

Thought I would just say hello as i have just registered here ...

Im based near Paddock Wood in Weald of Kent, so lots of woodland nearby ...

I guess Id describe myself as an enthusiastic amateur when it comes to woodlands - unfortunately no way I will ever have the funds to buy a wood, but I would be very keen to help out on someone else's woodland nearby - either from a hands-on point of view, but also in terms of helping on larger-scale stuff like coming up with a Management plan/finding markets for wood, etc ?

Have just read Ben Law's excellent Woodland Way so Im feeling inspired !

Hi Mike

Great to have you here, hopefully you could come along to the woodfair at bentley and meet some of us? Ben's book is great isn't it!
