Any SWOG Members in the Midlands?

DuncanB - you're not far from us then - we live in Tamworth in Staffordshire but Alvecote Wood is a mile away from our home just over the border in Warwickshire. If you're around this weekend we have an open day on Sunday 27th from 10am to 4pm.

How about meeting at Sarahs open day?

There's another one on November 8th - that will be the last of the year. We could meet afterwards. There is the potential for camping at the woods (no loos) if people are interested - there is a clearing that the Scouts have used. There are plenty of good eateries around, although the most local pub within walking distance doesn't do food on Sundays :-(

Hey you guys

If you do all get to meet at Sarah's open day - would you please send me some pictures and a little write up? Would be great to publicise the group in the Middle!

Does Cheshire count as the Midlands or North?
My orchard (100 mixed heritage varieties planted from 2010), is 8 miles south of Chester (and 200 yards from the border with Wales).
My woodland is 12 miles south of Chester, but less than a mile inside Wales...

I notice we have a North group, South group and Wales and Shropshire group but no Midlands group

I have just looked at the North group section and although we have one, it seems there are virtually no members in there posting anything. I'm in the North and would love to have some involvement with other northern members. Where are you all? Come on reveal yourselves! The North is a big place, there must be quite a few of us.

Smojo, I'm in The North, if Lincolnshire counts as being 'up Norf'. There's also a swog meeting planned in Yorkshire soon, but I can't find the details. Perhaps someone reading can assist here?

Lincs - not sure if that's North or Midlands, sort of borderline but to a Saverner it's NorF ;)

The Yorks meeting is 28th Feb and it's near Boroughbridge and York. The details are in the Dec and Jan newsletters. I'm hoping to go.

Is Lincs not in Scotland then? I know it's somewhere on the other side of the Thames ;-)
