Woodland Floor At Night

Postby Tarrel » Wed Sep 03, 2014 6:47 pm

Hope this works.

I wanted to see what was eating the Fly Agarics and Penny Buns in the woodland, so I set up the Swann trail camera on a 15 minute timelapse, and made a GIF animation of the output. It's 7.5 hours compressed into 15 seconds...

Image

Edit to add: one of the daytime images showed a sheep having a go as well. Must be high as a kite!

Cor Blimey ! Slug City. Look at the size of them !

That's it then- if I go in the woods at night I'll make sure I tuck my trousers in my socks first ! :o

Great video.

Nice video, cheers.

I've not managed to get much on mine yet, just a few rats and mice.

That said, we do have a lot of large slugs; maybe I should refocus my efforts. :)

Nice thing about slugs is they move slowly. I set my camera on "interval" mode, set to take an image every 15 minutes. That way I captured the slugs moving around. I would have been very luck to capture faster moving species this way.
