It is probably because I am as common as muck but the term "Dutch Oven" has very different connotations in my vocabulary. I was very surprised, and somewhat disappointed, to find references to cooking in this thread.

Tried our new dutch oven in the woods this Christmas and it worked a treat! Cooked over a good bed of glowing hazel-wood coals on a home made triangular trivet to keep the oven from getting too hot. Roast spuds and phesant for xmas dinner! MUCH better than i expected it to be....
