Paperwork, grants, legal issues

Hello everyone,

Just thought it might be educational for those with chain attachments for thier strimmers to read the case via the enclosed link. It might also be worth taking note that this type of attachment has now been 'banned' across europe.

I have seen these things and in my opinion they are an accident looking for a place to happen; like walking onto a battlefield with someone wielding a Mace.

the problem was chain flails being fitted to strimmers then bits of chain flying off and hitting people, see http://www.hse.gov.uk/safetybulletins/brushcutters.htm

Perzakerly! Also to make sure those who hire in contractors to do clearance work aware of the issue.

Many thanks for that. I've seen the chain flails and thought they were a good bit of kit. Stupidly, I hadn't considered that the links would wear out.

I know that when I asked about a chain head at WJ Green's in Hadleigh they told me that they were no longer available as they were a dangerous item.
