To link in this thread with the ponds thread if you have clay dug out for the pond you can use it for building a wall. Mixing it with sand and straw will give you a cob wall. It could be a shelter or a seat or walls to a timber building, infill for a log cabin.....
It is fire proof and if a vandal wanted to dig through it he will need a pick axe!
If any one wants more info shout and we can start a new thread. We have just finished our first cob wall and are very proud of it! Now I've only got to build the roof.
