Hey,

Im a woodland owner in the area of Sand Hutton near York. I wanted to see if anybody else on here has a wood in the close proximity to discuss any local issues and the managment they are employing,

I bought one of the Sand Hutton woods a yaer ago.

How are you finding yours?

Hi Matt. All going well at 'Knights wood' :)
Looking forward to spending more time in the woods and putting the shave horse to use making the pole lathe!
The management plan is taking shape too.

Hi all, didn't realise that anyone had replyed.

I do find it quiet there, but there is always the noise of the road.

Knights, I saw a deer run through your wood last week, something had disturbed it as I didn't get chance to get a photo even with my phone, but there seems to be plenty of wildlife.

Does anyone else have problems with brambles, I have some that are up into the canopy.
