Keep us updated on how they get on. My dad and I used to plant loads of seeds we'd get in tropical fruit and once successfully grew an enormous grape vine in the conservatory. Many years later I did a RHS horticulture course and found out wouldn't grow in this country without being in a hot house :o The vine lasted many years, in a shaded (for most of the day) cold conservatory. Which demonstrated to me that it's worth giving anything a go, as experts can sometimes be wrong.
