Could anyone recommend a native woodland seed mix for a small woodland in the south-east of England.

Look at Emorsgate Seeds - they seem very knowledgeable.

Hello all. I bought a woodland seedmix last October and sowed the seed in about a dozen different places throughout my wood (mostly recently thinned ash). I strimmed the previous vegetation to the clay and covered the seed with soil as best I could as instructed by supplier. Nothing seemed to come up in the spring that I could see. The supplier also said to repeat the strimming this autumn and there should be results next spring. Have I done things right, does seed take two winters to germinate or has anyone experience of this?

Two years / seed dormancy is not unusual, my grassland re-seeding seemed more noticeable 2 years after sowing.
Local sourced / native plug plants can be a useful alternative to seeds too.
