There's a chap in our region who calls himself a tree dowser and (yes really) claims to be able to have two way conversations with them. I don't think he's a sandwich short of a picnic, he seems quite intelligent, lucid and genuinely believes what he says. Who knows.

I had a chat with him and would describe him as a likeable and interesting eccentric, if a fraction 'detached'. Maybe he was listening more to the Oak behind me than my bland human conversation? He told me the Ash trees had been telling him about Chalara and that the trees reckoned it would kill about 15% of them. I told Mrs Paws about this and she responded "Ask him if the trees will tell us next weeks lottery numbers".

Takes all sorts, better bonkers than dull I s'pose.
