Woodland questions

Topics that don't easily fit anywhere else!

Hi,

We are buying a new home and a few acres of woodland in NE England. We have been trying to find suitable forestry courses and local networks, with little success. Any help here would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Ray

Hi Ray and Paula

Welcome to the world of woodland which will take over your life! (in a good way)

I think in the NE you would the Small woods association especially useful, and they run good courses in Coalbrookdale (spelling?) They might have a group you could network with.

Contact Phil Tidey: [email protected]

You could also look up BTCV- British trust of conservation volunteers- they do courses and volunteer days that train you.

Hope this gets you started, and you can post as much as you like on here! If you would like to become a 'member' I will add you to the email list and you can get our newsletters.
