High Weald AONB Grants

Grants Available for Woodland Management

Matt Pitt, woodland adviser at the High Weald AONB has advised us of grants still available for woodland management in the area.  For more information please contact Matt directly or follow the links to the website.

Small grants are now available to landowners or local community groups in the High Weald who wish to carry out management in their woodlands, but cannot access funds from major government grant schemes. The grant may be used for a range of activities, for example: clearing conifer plantations; fencing to protect ancient woodland and gills; surveys; and access and interpretation projects.

For move advice on eligible woodland management activities contact Matt Pitts, Woodland Advisor T: 01580 879964 or E: [email protected]

These grants are available through the High Weald Joint Advisory Committee Sustainable Development Fund. Projects which can be completed and invoiced by the end of March 2013 will be given a higher priority. Grants up to 75% of the total cost of the project can be awarded.
