Best wishes to everyone for the new year. There’s plenty going on, I’m just sifting through my diary and deciding what shows I want to go to, if I can get away to a course and learn a new skill, then there’s finding time for all those things I’ve been meaning to do in the wood, there’s a strange kind of satisfaction in knowing that it never all gets done!

So North Wessex Downs Woodland Forum have their inaugural event on the 6th February, full details from Amanda Ingham, Land Advice Projects Manage below.

Please find attached an invitation to attend the inaugural event of the North Wessex Downs Woodland Forum. (note that the flyer has the wrong date on it, it should be the 6th Feb 2012)

Following a series of woodland management workshops held in the North Wessex Downs this year, participants have identified a number of projects that if addressed could help to encourage sustainable woodland management of woodlands within the area. This forum seeks to investigate these topics further and begin to look at ways of addressing them.

We are keen to involve as many people from across the AONB as possible so please forward this email to relevant contacts, woodland owners and contractors.

This is your chance to influence support for woodland management in the AONB going forward. You do not need to have attended any of the previous workshops.
