SWOG meeting
“Using your Woodland To Heat Your Home” takes place on the 22nd May at the Woodland Enterprise Centre at Flimwell in E Sussex. The meeting is intended to answer the many questions that woodland owners have about heating their homes with the wood from their land.
Subjects to be covered will include;
- types of wood, drying and storage
- annual wood consumption
- types of stoves
- chimneys and flues
- installation requirements
- grant support
Speakers will include Mike Pepler from the Ashden Awards (see www.ashdenawards.org), Nick Gibbs, editor of Living Woods (see http://livingwoods.wordpress.com) and Matthew Woodstock from the Forestry Commision (see www.forestry.gov.uk).
