Timber Extraction

If anyone needs timber extraction services in Kent, please contact me. My background is in arboriculture, but also carry out woodland management and low-impact timber extraction. I have an 'alpine' style tractor and timber crane trailer equipped with floatation tyres that is excellent for small, undulating or sensitive sites. I can transport it to site on a trailer so my radius of operation is quite large.

I will be looking to sell some standing timber from our woodland in Kent within the next 6 months or so.

Mainly Oak, Ash and Hornbeam, would you be interested in this type of extraction.

Hi from me too. I have a 2.5 hectares of wood near Goudhurst and am looking to have an area of over-stood sweet chestnut coppiced in the coming season. I was last cut in 1983 so will produce good post and rail material etc. Is the work you would be interested in ? Cheers, Martin

Whats your access like?

Pretty good access really.

I have 3 acres of paddocks with roadside access fronting 14 or so of woodland.

Within the the woodland is a main track which is about a cars width, This runs to roughly the heart of the woodland.

I'm in the process of extending this ride to reach the outer edges.

To the right and rear the woodland has open farmland as boundaries.

There was commercial timber extraction carried out some 20 years ago but I have owned the woodland for only 2 years.

There are also many past coppiced Hazel throughout the plot.

I work for a local chestnut firm and also own 10 acres of
aceint hornbeam coppice with oak standards in Egerton/Pluckley.

I would be interested in the standing wood or thinnings.

Where abouts is the wood?
