Buying firewood

I would love a wee wood. In previous posts I posted I was buying a property with a 6 acre mixed hardwood forest but this fell through 2 days before we were signing. They decided not to sell So were now in the process of buying a much smaller property with just a normal size garden. Rural, backs on to a forest with some tree's in the garden. hence the questions on wood for burners and cottage industry etc.
