Seeking knowledge from knowledgable persons

As I am new to this I know nothing, zero, zilch. Would there be someone local to myself that would be willing to pass on knowledge of the ways of the woodlands? Teach an apprentice willing to learn?

Thars alzo that them hinternet, it works grand if you av one of thems quad core processors and 6 megabit connections. Couple of year ago I thought I knows nuffink. Nows, aving talked to loadsa woody folk, oys realises that might av bin hoptimistic.

Thanks, I am a bit busy at the moment just been away to Wales and have found myself a small job one day a week with a forestry company to show me a thing or two.
