Wooden crates

Anyone know where or how I can get hold of 6- 8 large wooden crates? Like the kind they collect apples in - the big ones....

Actually I got a few from a roofing yard they are used to keep tiles in and usually get distroyed after use. I was going to store logs in them, but I needed a fork for a tractor to lift them, actually I needed a tractor as well!

oh! but that was my cunning plan. .... so - it doesn't work then cos the boxes are too heavy?

hmmm, I need another cunning plan....

Can I show you the log basket I made: It is made from Hazel rods with a ply base, it is a very simple construction but extremely sturdy, To move around in the house it has rubber tyred castors but outside it goes onto a pair of dolly wheels which save the castors from getting dirty. I was looking at quick and easy ways of constructing a shelter in the garden. A friend had thought about crates stacked on their sides...

We have just build a very large log store from discarded pallets. When it falls to pieces we will just used it as kindling. Pallets are very versatile but some are hard to dismantle.
