Glow worms

Hi All

Went out last night into our valley and there were dozens of glow worms.

The best thing though was the pumpkins growing on the compost heap; pumpkins with twinkling "fairy lights"!

ha - Wood troll in shower (yes it happens occassionally!) and left forum logged on - this is OH d'Woodtroll here. Guess what...we are going on a short holiday....yeh!!....with "Hengis" the 7.2 horse power chainsaw!....luckily we are not taking "Foam" the shaving horse......are you all like this?

Some of us have got bits missing, scars and twitches but most are whole and hearty souls!

There are those of us who are very tired out after a busy weekend doing a sterling job of looking after the SWOG tent at the wood fair and selling other peoples stuff for them and may well be laying in a darkened room with a wet towel over thier heads - eh Tracy? ;~))

Next thing you know OH d'wood troll will be wanting to use the chainsaw! ;-)

Had a good few days away though it was a busman's holiday as I also took the logmate and made firewood of 5+cords of wood! Got to take off the bough of a Horse Chestnut that had severe rot and overhung the parking area (nice lump retrieved for turning though!!!). This was instead of paying the full rate for staying.

The retreat centre is to the north of the Central Massif in wooded valleys. Attached are several acres of woodland (mainly overstood hazel) which were wonderful to wander in.
