I've been trying to learn the truckers knot but seem to be knot dyslexic as I have forgotten it by the next day. While looking for instructions I came across these but could only find a wholesaler here in the uk so I bought 20 sets. Best way to describe them is to look at the vid but they are fantastic for tying down awkward loads, and especially good for shelters, guy ropes etc.. works with any rope up to 8mm and also 25mm webbing. Can double the pull with 2 and even use a pair as a block and tackle. Very American video I'm afraid

looks good, but my early years working in a builders yard means I can do the truckers knot blindfolded

You must mean a 'Carters' or 'Waggoners' hitch not a truckers knot, that's what Eddie Stobbart uses on his tie!
