James M. My understanding was and is that i dont/didnt need any planning permission. It doesnt affect anyone else nor the outflow of water/drainage or the like. it has no foundations nor liner and is of a limited depth..... im quite content that it never needed any PP. Neither will the next. Besides to think you have to ask someone who probably knows very little about wildlife let alone your own wood wether its ok to create something that adds to the biodiversity of the area at a time when things are under so much pressure is crazy to me................. Long answer.. NO.

Darren....im plenty sure not necessarily . As i understand it , the situation isd dependent on size, depth, soil removal, location, affects on drainage and polution.......... in short if its relativley small and covers the above you dont need it. I did check it out at the time, but if your not sure suggest you speak to planning but of course they could say no...
