Me too
Ideally we need to run the day within (or within our buffer zone) the Weald Forest Ridge and with people in, or from the "surrounding areas". From the SWOG woods, there are probably only 2 woodlands that apply - one we have (potentially) been given the green light to work on and the other my colleague will meet with some of the owners shortly.
The location of the woodland is the important bit for funding.
If you would like to see a map - got to www.highweald.org click on Weald Forest Ridge and then Project Location. Alternatively, e-mail me and I'll ping one back - [email protected]
I'm just about to renew as well, but will hang on as you suggest. I never managed to gert answers to my questions about what was covered from them (RAP) - I was always just fobbed off with a standard reply that was very general, not specific to my enquiry. I'm also not keen on the way they exagerate the risk to the owner - typically negilence has to be proved, an accident will not of its self make you liable to pay anything.
I'm investigating using the NFU who have always been great with our non-woodland land
I too will be very interested as when I contacted our local NFU office they came back after speaking to thier tame 'spert that they wouldn't insure our woodland as we didn't have any other insurance with them. I also got the impression that unless we were of an agricultural bent they wern't too interested. Be interesting to here from someone from another area of the country.
