Well I better start out saying that I am not a woodland owner. I work in forestry and land management, mainly dealing with commercial plantations of both soft and hardwood in the North of England. I'm here to look at it from the other perspective - that of "you lot", the amenity/small scale owners and users. It's a growing market for sales of woodland, and could become an interesting sector within forestry, in my opinion.
I can hopefully be of some use though, as well as my proffesional knowledge I have been involved in wildlife management, specifically deer, for a fair while and have a good amount of knowledge on that subject. So I'll maybe weigh in with something on that front too.
