Say Hello and tell others about yourself and your wood.

Hello Monkey Hanger,

Welcome to the forum :-)

We do have members in your neck of the woods, but maybe they're a bit slow in waking from hibernation!

Would be interested in hearing about your wood and what you are doing with it!

Cheers

Rich

Hi, not from Cumbria but wanted to say hello, although my better half lived in Cockermouth for a year if that counts :)

Hi, I am not from Cumbria either, but I do try and make it up there once a year to cycle Whitehaven to Newcastle. This year I had thought of cycling Carlisle to Ayr. A great part of the world, in fact nearly as good as Wales.

Yes in fact of course "Cymru" & "Cumbria" (or Cumberland) are etymologicaly from the same Old British (Celtic) root.

Surely a monkey hanger is from Hartlepool?

Exactly what I was going to say when this was first posted but didn't want to be the first one to make reference to the monkey hanging incident here on the forum ;-) Although Jules is an ostensible cat lover maybe monkey's don't do it for them?

Let's be fair - they thought they were hanging a Frenchman.

More likely it was a Frenchman disguised as a monkey.
