I am sure others with more knowledge of the planning laws will be along later but I am fairly sure that the planners would view a woodworking shop even for green woodworking, as a form of industry and would not give permission.

I'm with John I'm afraid - I think you might be on a loser there - not just with the planners - I'm sure you'd get some very unwelcome visitors. This is of course unless it is right next to your house and can be alarmed and suitably fortified.

None the less - welcome to the forum and we'll be glad to hear how you get on and what you get up to. What sort of patch do you own?
