We are running a woodland management course with an emphasis on management for wildlife at Alvecote Wood in North Warwickshire on 10th and 11th September. We have been through the experience of managing both ancient woodland and planting a new woodland. We have also had experience of applying for grants and writing management plans, and of liaison with a wide range of other organisations, drawing upon their expertise in our own planning and management. With a mixture of practical sessions and informational sessions, we hope this will appeal to new woodland owners, or those who have been owners for a while and would like to learn a bit more. Price is £125 for the weekend, but we can offer SWOG members a 10% discount. Camping is available on site.
