Mottimaster Firewood Processor

Looking for a firewood processor I came across the above which splits and cuts the log in one operation. Has anyone come across these machines - do they work as well as the video on their website suggests? See http://mottimaster.co.uk/mottimasters.php

It seems that it needs an electric supply. If you have one, then great. The price seems very good but I'd like to see one running and also to have a look at the build quality. Some of these firewood processors are great on "pine" type timber but not so good on hardwoods

I prefer a petrol/LPG/diesel engine. Have a look at Riko; there may be something there for you

I would like to see one in operation too, I think it is a recent import as I haven't seen mention of them before. I have a 6kW generator that I use for my splitter which should do the job as this machine is rated at 2.2kW. This one is interesting because of the few moving parts - (better reliability?) . However the way it cuts the log isn't particularly neat so it may be a problem putting the logs in net bags which I use to sell them. I also wondered whether it would work as well on hardwoods, it seemed to be cutting birch which isn't too difficult. I think on balance I would prefer a more traditional petrol/diesel engined machine - Hakki Pilke or Japa, but they do cost more.
