I am thinking of buying an area of woodland for coppicing, charcoal production and possibly pigs but it sits on the confluence of two streams and the ground is very waterlogged even in the summer. I think it will make working and vehicle access difficult. The drainage can be sorted but is going to cost and make the thing uneconomical. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of wet woodland ground and can say whether they've been able to work with it or would say not to touch it. Thanks.
