A woodland walk and Folk Lore

Topics that don't easily fit anywhere else!

Dear All,

We are looking for volunteers to help monitor flora at different sites around Worcestershire, such as the Wyre Forest and Hornhill Wood. This sort of surveying is valuable in assessing the work for priority species, such as monitoring the populations of violets - the caterpillar food plant for the pearl bordered fritillary.

I have organised special woodland learning events as part of the training. Please see attached information. The first event is:

Tree Indentification and Folk Lore Walk

Thursday 15th September 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Wyre Forest

It's a chance to see different woodlands in Worcestershire, learn about flora and spend time in the woods with like minded folk. If you are interested in coming along get in touch and I'll email you directions.

Please feel free to forward this to others who may also be interested.

I hope to meet you soon.

Kind regards,

Jenna
