Should we be worried if this product becomes generally available? http://www.jsdrail.com/eco-plug.html
Horticulture Week says it is ready to go on sale.
Eco Plugs have been available from BTS ( http://www.btsgroupuk.com/index.php?id=10 ) for some time. We use them and they seem to be very effective
As charcoal makers stopping the growth that becomes our future income seems a strange thing to do. Maybe people should invest less in chemicals and more in kilns.
Depends on what you are trying to get rid of. I have problems with Rhoddis and Laurel. I was warned off burning the stuff because of the fumes being poisonous.
We're lucky not to have any Rhoddis or Laurel and it is hard to see how you would get rid of them otherwise. We have never used chemicals, but wouldn't rule it out, certainly for rhoddis. There do seem be a lot of people who use chemicals as a matter of course. We've been advised by a few people to treat the birch stumps when we cut them down. As charcoal makers, this seems like madness.
I got so frustrated that I would sprayed it with Agent Orange and then have dropped Napalm to finish the job...
