There is a lot of discussion about C. fraxinea on Arbtalk. As that has a wider audience than here, and If you don't mind, I shall link this thread to that site.

hi stephen1, sorry its taken so long to get back...just a recap your assumption was correct there is not 40% ash here in this woodland..oh and i did try to negeotiate.. but i didnt push it as i had already gone in at a much lower price, and guess what .. i bought it !! i am now a SWO..at long last.
25% oak, 25% ash, 20% birch, 10% chestnut(sweet), 10% hazel , 10% mixed fieldmaple/hornbeam/holly ... wow that took some doin...but a great exercise.

do you know any more news on the ash die back or are they waiting till the spring to see what the full impact is before they make any enouncements ?
