Would like to hear your thoughts regarding Stewardship schemes?
From a smallwood landowners point of view, I'd imagine they are considered an extra bonus to having a wood already. However from a farmers point of view, it's not something we're as accustomed too.
A lot of negativity is surrounding the new scheme system in Wales, called Glastir, I'm not sure how it is in England or Scotland, but the main gripes with the new system relate to the over top amount of paperwork and over complications, the restrictness of applicability, costs of making applications, lack of guidance at times and poor transition from the previous schemes in place that it has taken over.
I'd appreciate any feedback from anywhere.
