Looks like a very tidy set-up ratcatcher.

not much space by it to stack logs though !

God it's painful but forced to agree with you OCP the Dunsley stoves are very good - and thanks for the tip about the optional steel bars, I've been through three sets of iron ones!

Try a small Dutch Oven;

Great for pop corn and sweet chestnuts.

But it's an actual crime not to make toast;

Fantastic design - holds bread really well and long enough for no burnt knuckles

I'm off to the barn to get some copper wire - Seems I've been wasting my time in the past with copper sulphate to amaze the children with green flames!

Getting a woodburner is one of the best things we have ever done.
Heating bills slashed and great to watch too.

We have a Handol 51L.

I was quoted over £3500 to install a hunter hawk 4 about 5 years ago, with a new carpet and redecorating on top, I decided against it. Your post has made me think again. Can I ask if you installed a flue liner and if so how easy was it to put in ?

A little tip for keeping the fire in overnight is to pour, or scoop, the ash from the ash pan over the top of a couple of half burnt logs .
We normally push the hot embers hard up to one side and cover before going to bed. Not only does this make the fire ready for instant use in the morning, it also re burns the used ash. You'll have to shut all the vents obviously. I hardly ever have to empty the ash pan or use kindling.
I think our fire must of been in constant use since mid December using this method !!.
Installed a Stovax Stockton 7 couple of years ago, probably the best item I've every purchased, well other than me 346xp that is !.

Nice 1, sounds like your enjoying it too. Built like Tiger Tanks the old Stovax burners.
