Thinning out

Postby MattF » Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:45 pm

As I have put before I have started clearing and thinning the trees.
The wood has a public foot path through it and there has been a lady walking her dog on Sundays and has asked what we are doing and have told her.
Then last Saturday she kicked off a bit because I have had to drop a few oak trees they are about 6" and are at the side of another one which is bigger.
She just didn't understand that it was to help the other tree grow properly and spread its canopy because they have just shot up for the light due to the larch trees.

Yes there is Dog poo about some pick it up I have not seen anybody not pick it up but that could be because I'm about.
I have found no bags hanging thankfully but there is also plenty of Fox and Badger poo about there is a sign at all the entrances in to the wood telling people to keep dogs on leads
