Take lots of photos, even of 'nothing much', you'll be amazed at how it all changes.
We have a lot of photos where the background is now far more interesting, trees gone, light now getting in etc.
I spent the first winter coppicing about half an acre, 8 - 10 hour days, twice a week. There's no way I could ever do it again, even my Achilles' tendons started to calcify from dragging all the wood uphill.
I restrict myself to smaller more manageable jobs, now.
Tree identification was also a big initial problem, if its deciduous don't forget Elm, I built a big treehouse on elm coppice, thinking it was Hazel.
Fantastic times, Mr. Ratcatcher.....Good Luck.
