Access to Welsh woodlands?

Postby Andy & Heather » Sat Feb 08, 2014 9:02 am

The access legislation is under review in Wales and it's odds on that effectively the 'right to roam' is going to be extended to woodland - which means everyone will be able to walk anywhere they want within woodland in wales within a couple of years.

Do you have a link to an official site that states this? We know that many of the grants available have a condition of allowing public access but we are not aware of any legislation going through.

Don't panic! It's the norm in Scotland. Lots of pressure in Wales coming from paddlers keen to access rivers.
