Well Bernie, while you wait, you could always give them a bit of a drink, I remember planting a hedge about 3 or 4 years ago and going to extraordinary measures to put in a porous pipe irrigation system. It was the year that it rained solidy from March through to september...........never used it! So haven't bothered since and spent 3 hours today watering mine today, forecast was for rain at the weekend, but you can never be sure and I'm away next week.
