Hi there.

Is there a classifieds sections of SWOG, where owners can sell woodland items they no longer have use for or even a section where they can advertise their wood for sale?

Just a thought!

Yes, you can advertise stuff in the produce section if you like.

Sorry Ryan, if I hear about one I will tell you! Be patient, you will find the right wood. Even if you have to move county :-)

Yeah your right Tracy, will be patient. Just wondered if anyone had a spare wood tucked away :-)

Not sure about moving county though - not everyone is called Wayne or Trevor in Essex - no offence to any forum member that is called Wayne or Trevor ;-)

Chantry Wood nr Wickham Bishops was advertised in the Forestry Journal this month, but I think it is now sold. Bidwells were selling it.

I expect it made alot of money. It would be interesting to know how much. 104 acres of ancient woodland.

I too live in Essex, I decided I would rather have woods in Wales than no woods at all.

Thanks John - 104 acres would be nice but just too much for me, not to mentioned the expensive purchase price (as you quite rightly said).

We have decided that if we buy a wood, it needs to be local to us. Taking our children to Wales, Scotland or even to the South West of England to visit our wood is just too far. It would limit our access and we want somewhere we can also use at weekends.

You could always buy a field and plant trees?!
