is Bracken actually native?

No one seems able to tell me if bracken has always been here or if it is naturalised over centuries.. is it post ice age or pre ice age..... Any thoughts.

Bracken occurs worldwide.

Its been around for millions of years.

Ta for tht i have had mixed theories but if your saying its always been present in th uk then i shall be a wee bit more sensitive to it.
