Good website for marketing products and services,

http://www.sylva.org.uk/myforest/index.php

Looks like it could be usefull, have a section to link woodland owners with standing timber to workers and contractors looking to buy it.

Thanks for posting the link, it looks a useful site.

Hopefully it will be used a bit more than Woodlots and Ecolots have been.

I've always found ecolots and woodlots to be quite good.

The problem seems to be getting them used by people that arnt in the industry.

They have the potential to act as a good first contact for anyone interested in woodland products (customers)

Yes , Woodlots and Ecolots are good, I bought my Lucas mill and Farmi trailer via them.

I am hoping to buy the Walnut log that is advertised on there at the moment, I am waiting for the seller to come back from holiday.

Yes, this was featured in the latest Newsletter and it is a good site. We are in the process of organising a SWOG meeting that will go through the tools on the MyForest site - watch the web site for details when it is announced :-)
