No Look at it and ask yourself, "would a professional log cutter use one of these", NO. I find the best way to cut logs is to start at the thin ends and work back to the trunk, it's natures own clamp; if you limb a tree first then you have the problem of holding the logs to reduce them. For me the ideal situation is to fell a tree and dice it on the spot so that it ends up as a diced image of itself on the ground, hopefully with bits of the tree left behind for conversion into timber?
