Small Woodland Owners' Group

Book reviews needed for two books

Topics that don't easily fit anywhere else!

We would very much like reviews of two new books for the SWOG newsletter. The good news is that Margaret from woodlands.co.uk has offered to pay for these books for a SWOG member in return for a review. These are

"Tales from the Wood" by Felix Dennis (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tales-Woods-Felix-Dennis/dp/0091937671) - a book of poems about woods and trees and

and Woodlanders: New Life in Britain's Forests (http://www.saraband.net/themes/environment-a-popular-science/212-woodlanders-life-among-the-trees) - a collection of writings about all kinds of life and activity in woodlands from crafts, bushcraft, engaging children in the outdoors, to enjoying the woodland environment and working with wood.

If you are interested in reviewing these, please let me know ([email protected]) and we can arrange for the purchase of the books for you.

In return, I will need a review for the newsletter - between 500 and 1000 words, giving an overview of the book and your impression of it, and perhaps something of the perspective from which you are writing the review.

Over to you...!

There is now a reviewer for the Woodlanders book, but we still need somebody to review the Felix Dennis book of poems.

Well, maybe not a new chainsaw, but we would be grateful for a review {asks nicely!}...

Hm, great question Toby - I wonder which manufacturers will send us stuff to review!?

Thank you, both these books now have reviewers. Nice idea to try and get equipment for review in the newsletter :-)
