coppicing sign board

Topics that don't easily fit anywhere else!

Does anyone know where to get a couple of the woodland coppicing signboards printed on corrugated plastic board which let the general public know why you are cutting down trees and the benefits of coppicing etc?

Thanks, Roy.

Hi Roy

I know who has them, will try to find out if they can post you some. If you go to the Bentley woodfair you can get them from there!

You can put out signboards or laminate A4 sheets explaining what is going on. The sensible people will read them and understand but you will still get slated by the ill-informed

Even some wood owners would slate you for for it! I have had wood owners tell me that they don't like coppicing because of all the damage it causes. One even apologised for the state of some of the wood we were in where some work had taken place. I told him if the rest of the wood looked similar it would probably be much better.

Hi Tracy

We could use a couple of them now too. Or perhaps if you know of a (preferably) A4 sheet in electronic form that I can print myself and laminate, then that would work as well.

Hi Simon

Don't think he has many left. Can you wait and get some more from us at the woodfair?
