How many trees = 5 cubic metres?

Topics that don't easily fit anywhere else!

I would love to know who's counting, and how on earth it could be monitored.

I would recommend a felling liscense as I am incapable of working out this type of calculation. In the mean time take one of your 14/15 trees and drop it on your nossey neighbour!

You have no idea how much pleasure that would give me!

We have a tree surgeon calling tomorrow to give advice he's very interested in helping us with future maintenance of the woods and there is a possibility of apprentices working in the woods to get work experience, it's only 1.5 acres so probably not worth applying for a felling licence at this stage, think we will just go for 5 cubic metres per quarter until the birds start nesting again.

As for the neighbour we are now in dispute, long story but she has reneged on a pre-purchase agreement of the woodland and we may have to take it to county court because we have gone as far as we are prepared to go with solicitors fees!

Legal advice is hard to come by FOC! even when you are the innocent party
