Trail cameras

Topics that don't easily fit anywhere else!

Postby docsquid » Thu Jun 16, 2011 10:00 am

I'm hoping to write something for the SWOG newsletter about trail cameras and our experiences in using them for both wildlife and security, and wondered if anybody else uses trail cameras to capture wildlife in their woods, and if so, which cameras, and what have been your experiences? Do any of you have any photos you could share? Any contributions welcome - [email protected]

I occasionally place a Bushnell trail cam at my plot. Optimistically hoping for shots of badgers, otters, mysterious large cats etc.

I'm reasonably pleased with the camera, but so far have only managed to acquire random pictures at twilight of straying sheep from a near-by field.

A similar system at the yard at home provided grainy but adequate night-time black & White pics to pass to the police after a burglary...
