The National Forest Wood Fair takes place on Monday 30 August at Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire, just off the M1, junction 22 or 23.

It showcases The National Forest, as multi-purpose forestry for the 21st century, with everything from forestry machinery to horse logging, lumberjacks to wood turning, log to leg racing to chainsaw carving. Children can have a go at eco art, the climbing wall and many ranger-led activities.

The Food Field is packed with delicious local food and drink.
